Van Gogh Museum
You’ve heard about one of the world’s most famous painters, Vincent Van Gogh. But what do you really know about this Dutch artist? This tour will introduce you to the man behind the famous sunflowers and self-portraits that are featured in galleries around the world. See his work “The Potato Eaters” and “The Bedroom” as well as objects from his studio. Visit the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh’s works while learning about his troubled life from his days in Holland to his dramatic ending in France. And yes, we’ll discuss that whole ear incident.
Depending on whether the artwork is on loan or being restored, the following pieces of art may include Van Gogh's large collection of self portraits, early and obscure works, objects from his studio, Sunflowers, Yellow House and Wheat Field with Crows.

Our guide Jacobo was very good. My husband doesn't like art history much, and he found Jacobo's narrative informative and entertaining.
He really brought Van Gogh's whole life into perspective.
I wouldn't have enjoyed the museum nearly as much in my own.

Sorry for the little bit late review, wanted to do it some time ago.
I and my husband joined a group of a total of 8 Anna being our tour guide. And what a tour it was!!! From the start till the very end, she was so enthusiastic and caring!!! The information she gave us is unbelievable!! She does so much research about the subject that she is passionate about - Van Gogh’s creations, Museum itself, that I am studying toward the Master's degree in Art History, was wowed!!!
And even after the tour, she shared additional links of information with our group!! We are flying to Amsterdam in May next year and would like to take another tour with Anna!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of a second museum tour with Anna this week, this time of the Van Gogh Museum. Once again, we were impressed by Anna’s knowledge and communication skills. But we also find Anna thoroughly entertaining. She is a really funny lady, although I’m not sure that she means to be. Definitely request Anna when you sign up for a tour.

I have booked a tour with Anita and she has been amazing. She has a lot of knowledge and worked guiding people more than a decade. I loved the museum and I have discovered so much about Vincent Van Gogh and his works. I was very moved by his art and extraordinary life. We recently took the van Gogh Museum guided tour and it was an absolute highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. The tour itself was semi-private with a maximum of 8 people, which was the perfect size. Our guide, Frank, was extremely knowledgeable about van Gogh and his work, and was able to provide a lot of insight and context to the paintings we were seeing. I particularly appreciated the reserved entry included in the tour, as it meant we were able to bypass the long lines and go straight into the museum. The small group size also meant that we were able to have a more intimate and personalized experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Van Gogh Museum - it truly enhanced my appreciation for the artist and his work.

My partner and I took a small group guided tour of the Van Gogh museum. Our guide, Anita, was excellent. She used an innovative approach which took us through Van Gogh’s troubled life via his paintings while comparing him to other painters of his time that influenced his work. It was not a tour that took you one by one in looking at paintings placed in a row in the gallery. So very fascinating!!!
