Slot Zuylen

Just outside the city of Utrecht, Slot Zuylen is one of the oldest castles along the Vecht river. The castle has a rich history starting around the year 1250, passing through various families and boasting some influential inhabitants - including several powerful women, like the writer Belle van Zuylen (Isabelle de Charrière).

Being for of us plus the guide made our tour very relaxing. It was very warm but being close to the river water and the breeze coming from the navigation made all so enjoyable.
Martin is absolutely discrete and informative at the same time. So we enjoyed the chatting and the information about the scenery and the mansions. We also rewied our options on how to conduct the boat trip. We could then swim too at the end, as we liked and refreshing ourselves .
The high tea was high quality and very well served on a lovely terrace.
