Skip the big boats!!!
We wanted a private experience cruising the canals of Amsterdam rather than being packed on the huge tourist boats. We found Capt. Papp on Trip Advisor and he didn't disappoint. Our one hour with Capt Papp was the highlight of our stay in Amsterdam. We booked a 10 am tour (highly recommend) so the canal was not yet full of boats. We cruised quietly along the canal with Capt. Papp providing an entertaining history of Amsterdam. During our ride we asked about the famous cookies, Stroopwafels. A few minutes later, unannounced, he pulled over, tied up the boat, and quickly returned from a bakery with fresh Stroopwafels. What a surprise. I am a photographer, and he slowed down when I found something interesting and even turned the boat around to allow me to rephotograph a unique bridge. This is truly personalized service you'll never get on the big boats. Capt Papp, thank you for a wonderful experience we'll always remember.

What a splendid tour with a perfect tour operator. We were late due to getting lost. He was perfectly nice and accommodating! Loves his job and it’s a pleasure having a smiling tour guide who is excited about showing you his home! Highly recommend! Went out of his way meeting us and dropping us near our cruise boat!!

Skipper Paad was wonderful. He was super laid back and offered us drinks when we entered the boat. The boat tour was very good relaxing with some good music. Would highly recommend the boat tour.
