A must do cruise in Amsterdam

We were a group of friends who were looking to cruise the canals and have some drinks. We found this activity and my oh my we were so lucky. The skipper and the host on the boat were amazing! We chose to add beers and wine which we had loads of haha. The boat was very clean and comfortable, we had loads of room to move. During the cruise we got explanations about the city and heard cool stories about things around us. 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a cruise in a clean boat with an amazing crew. oh and don't forget the beers!

Misleading picture of boat

The actual boat is nothing like the pic that is shown. I booked this as it was a sunny day and the pic shown indicates its fully open. The boat used had a canvas roof and sides that were.pulled up but the metal structure did impact the viewing depending where you sat. There were nicer boats at the same Dock (friendship boat company looked like a nicer boat). The boat driver was lovely (it's just the actual boat on a sunny day )

It’s NOT luxury!!

I’m going to start off with the positives: the boat, staff and unlimited drinks were great. If you like to party then this is the tour for you. Now to move onto the negatives. The start of the trip was chaotic. When you find the embarkation location, multiple boats leave this station so it’s incredibly hard to know which one you need to get on, etc. This was not the experience I was expecting, and I walked past other boats who did this better. The organisers need to provide better instructions on what to do as it’s incredibly confusing to navigate. The really bad part was we were put on a boat with 15 men on a stag party, who smoked weed. We’re non-smokers and this was pretty shocking to us, especially as the roof was on and we couldn’t escape the smoke, we also wasn’t asked if it was ok so it felt forced upon us. I totally get that this is a boat tour in Amsterdam but the experience we received wasn’t “luxury” - if I wanted to sit around drunk cannabis smokers then I would have purchased a booze cruise or smoke boat. I’ve done a few canal boat tours in Amsterdam and this had less content/facts which I think was due to the clientele on board. If you want a chaotic start and a booze cruise then this is the trip for you. If you want luxury, please don’t be fooled by the misleading marketing!
