My wife and I started a boat company called "Vaartuig Amsterdam". The tours we provide are as intimate, personal and real as they can get. With a maximum of only 8 guests you are basically on a boat with friends. If you don't like gimmick captains/guides with the bad jokes, this is your tour. You'll see smaller cozy canals the big tourist boats can't get to. We'll cover all of the famous canal area's and get to know its history and facts. All from the perspective of a native ;-) This tour is on our lovely boat called the "Zavi". Heated and covered on rainy days or with an open sun deck on sunny days. The "Zavi" has a toilet and a bar as well which are included.
Looking forward having you on board!!!

Wined and Dined - Amsterdam Canal Cruise

My wife and I had been winging it while in Amsterdam on business, so I was elated when I was able to book Brian and his boat last minute for a dinner cruise.

The boat is a beautiful and comfortable one, and it was just the two of us and Brian.

If you have a chance, see Amsterdam as it was built to be seen, from a boat! What could make a boat cruise better? How about excellent cuisine from a local restaurant? What could make THAT even better; a fantastic bottle or two of wine!

Brian is a knowledgeable and accommodating host. He had great and insightful information about what we were seeing along the canals, and was absolutely wonderful to talk to. Almost felt like catching up with a long lost friend!

Our time together flew by. In the end, the wife was happy and impressed that I had been able to pull something so polished together.

Highly recommend spending a couple hours plying the canals with Brian.
Treat yourself to this experience!

This was honestly the highlight of our trip. Captain Brian was such a hospitable host and had so much knowledge about the city to share, while driving the boat AND serving up drinks, cheese and sausage. It truly felt like being with a good friend. The small size of boat also made it more intimate and relaxed with only 4 of us passengers when we went. Well worth the cost and experience and cannot recommend enough!
Amazing ambiance on board, top notch food and wine, best boat tour ever!

We had an amazing dinner tour with friends, in total 4 people on board the Zavi plus the captain. Brian was an amazing host, showed us the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam and provided us with a 3 course meal. The food and wine were absolutely top notch and the ambiance on board was very cosy and personal.

I can totally recommend the dinner tour!!
The personal touch makes this Amsterdam's best boat tour.

We were lucky in a way that we were the only two people on the tour in our time slot, and couldnt be happier with our experience. Brian the host was friendly, energetic and an all round great guy, and was also really knowledgable and had a concise knowledge of the city and the history of the Netherlands.

The knowledge we gained from this tour and the insight we were given was fantastic and I wouldnt hesitate to book on again - the initimate nature of a tour like this is the perfect way to explore Amsterdam.

Thanks for a great trip Brian!
