Come onboard of our classic private saloon boat for the Amsterdam Light Festival boat tour which takes place from 1st Dec 2022 till 22nd of January 2023. Discover the lightened sculptures from a variety of artists while floating through the canals. Bring your friends, family or children to this amazing light festival boat tour and explore together the artistic light objects and their meanings. Our captain which is also the guide will know the history of the art objects as well as key facts of the artist.
The private boat is one of a few which has the floating monument status in Amsterdam. Due to its historic character, built in 1912, earlier serving as a passenger transport boat between East and West Germany, this boat has unique history.
Unlike other boat tours, this tour includes a welcome drink and has an intimate setting with your own group up to 8 people. The captain is a real local and stands for excellent service during the Amsterdam light festival boat tour.

My husband and I booked a private tour at last minute to see the light festival on Carl’s beautiful boat. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed Carl’s commentary on the works of art and immediately felt relaxed and at ease thanks to his friendly and warm personality. The boat is very special - a real beauty oozing with charm and history. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne and cuddled up whilst Carl chatted and laughed with us on our trip. We are looking forward to bringing our friends and family on the boat in the summer later this year. Thank you for a lovely time.

We had a ninety minute tour of the Amsterdam Light Festival with drinks included and had the best time. It was a small corporate event with colleagues visiting from across Europe and Carl was not only extremely knowledgeable on the light festival but was a superb tour guide of the city itself. There was a nice selection of beer, wine and sodas and Carl was extremely personable and very easy to coordinate with. I would highly recommend this tour if you are interested in an event with a more personal touch.

This was a wonderful way to get to know more about Amsterdam and an amazing way to see the light festival. The boat was comfortable and cozy, even as it rained outside. I'd highly recommend.

4 of us went on this private tour. Much more personal than the larger cruises and we were able to depart / return to a much quieter part of the waterfront. Lovely electric boat without any of the fumes or noise of some of the alternative cruises.

We booked this private boat tour (for 2) to see the Amsterdam Lights Festival – we had the best time, ever! Knowing that we were running late (through no fault of our own, as we didn’t know that Uber would turn down ride requests in Amsterdam!), Carl sent me a message giving us clear directions on where to find him and his boat, so we panicked a lot less when we finally arrived at the pier. He is a gentleman with helping us on and off the boat.
The boat was very quaint and comfortable, and very well decorated – there were fresh flowers in the middle of the table. He made sure we were nice and warm on a cold December evening (blankets were provided), and he served us warm drinks.
During this 90-minute tour, he told us about life in a houseboat, gave us a lot of info into Dutch life and Dutch culture especially in Amsterdam. We laughed a lot as he told us funny stories and as we shared interpretations of the art exhibits of the Festival. He slowed down at the famous art exhibits and landmarks to ensure we got the best pics. We had a lovely tour of all the main canals and the displays for the lights festival, along with giving us interesting facts about everything.
I highly recommend booking a private boat tour with this company, as all your needs will be met. I booked directly through their website, and both Carl and Robertino have been very polite, helpful, and responsive.
